Question

Discuss one type of memory deficit, including what part of the brain

is affected and how memory processing is interrupted.

Be sure to be specific regarding how memory is affected. It is not enough to say that disorder X creates memory deficits. It has to be defined which memory is impaired, working memory, long term memory, consolidation, recall, etc

Memory deficits such as dementias or amnesia tend to extend to all types of memory. It is not the case for other psychological disorders that are more specific, for example schizophrenia has a different effect on memory than the effect that depression has.
Can someone in the class find evidence about this?

Thinking about memory deficits, what individual factors influence the potential for recovery? What are the therapeutic and rehabilitation approaches?
