Research has discovered that individuals who attempt suicide often

experience more stress than those who do not. Many people feel their lives are very stressful, but do not have tools to effectively handle their stressors.
Consider either your own behavior or that of someone close to you.
Identify the major stressor(s) affecting your/his/her life which are interfering with optimal functioning in detail.
Outline a stress management plan designed to reduce stress and improve effective functioning. It might be best to focus on changing one specific behavior; this is fine, an excellent way to start! Be thorough.
Identify a specific goal (or goals) in detail , specify the strategies to be systematically applied, state how progress will be tracked, and be sure to build in a reinforcement system for evidence of change/ progress toward goals.
