In this group discussion we will address intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Share a goal that you hold, either past or current, and identify whether it was/is intrinsically or extrinsically motivated. Then, consider how your motivation for this goal might be altered so that if it was intrinsically motivated, it can become extrinsically motivated, or vice versa. How can this knowledge help increase your motivation for desired goals, or conversely, decrease your motivation for unwanted goals? Comment on the techniques and strategies of your classmates.
