Public safety administrators are focused very closely on the hazards and risks
associated with their organization and frequently fail to look beyond those issues. Integrated Emergency Management requires that an overall "big picture" view of a jurisdiction be examined and planned for. How can a public safety administrator managing a single public safety agency effectively participate in IEMS to ensure preparedness, response, mitigation, and recovery from potential hazards facing the jurisdiction?
