For your second to last project in Spanish 2 you will be conversing...

For your second to last project in Spanish 2 you will be conversing with a fictional student from a Spanish speaking country. There are three steps to this project, and you will be writing two letters altogether (a letter of introduction and a response letter).

 

Part 1: Letter Writing

1.  Write a letter introducing yourself. Explain who you are, where you live, and parts of your daily life in the US or your home country. Some interesting aspects to include could be - your favorite foods, your hobbies, your favorite school subjects, your favorite Youtube channels, video games, social media networks, etc. Tell the student you are writing to about your family, your friends, and even your pets. Try to give a picture of your daily life as well as the culture you live in! This letter should be at least two paragraphs using the present, preterit, and/or imperfect tenses. You will address this letter to one of the following students:

• Alejandra from the Dominican Republic
• Matias from Puerto Rico

 

Part 2:  Editing Rough Draft/Final Letter  and Response from Pen Pal

2.   Once you have polished your letter to its final draft, your letter will send the response of Alejandra or Matias (depending on which student you chose).

 

Part 3: Response back to Pen Pal

3.  You will write a one paragraph letter in return. This letter should be a polite, friendly response that remarks on what you find interesting about the letter your received and that tells your new pen pal know something you learned about him or her and his or her country. Your teacher may ask for minor Spanish revisions on this letter as well.  This letter should use the present, preterit, and/or imperfect tenses
