My understanding is that these are discrete random variables and we need to calculate variance. I would like to use my TI-30XAiis to speed up the process, which we allowed during test, but you can't put in those high frequencies in STAT mode. I get an error.


I know that the Expected value is E(X)=Mean

And Variance is the sum of (X-Mean)^2/n


I can times the frequencies across, but isn't there any faster way to calculate? Not much time on the test when these come up.


So we are allowed to practice these quizzes as many as times as we want to prepare the test. Values change every time.
