Lab 5: Chi-Square
Directions: Use SPSS to compute the Chi-Square Test.
Problem: Using the following data, test the question that an equal number of boys (code=1) and girls (code=2) participate in soccer at the elementary level at the .01 level of significance. Use SPSS and compute the exact probability of the chi-square value. What's your conclusion? Make sure that you identify the null and research hypotheses, the DV and IV, the p-value, whether you reject or accept the null hypothesis and what this means.
Boys = 1 45
Girls = 2 55
