The NH tax rate for dining (eating out at restaurants) used to be 8%.  A few  years ago the rate went up to 9%.  Prior to the election in November, I heard a candidate for governor refer to this a 1% tax hike.  Do you feel that this is accurate or do you think he was 'lying with statistics'?  If you feel he was lying what "method" was he using?  Is there another number that could be used to reflect this tax increase?  What would is it?
