avg20rolls is 7.15 how do I construct 95% confidence intervals for the true mean of the sum of a pair of dice σ = 2.41

Given that sample mean is 7.66

standard deviation is 2.41

sample size is n= 20

z critical for 1.96

Using the formula for confidence interval

Confidence interval = xˉ±z∗(σ/n)=7.66±1.96∗(2.41/20)=7.66±1.96∗0.5389=(6.604,8.716)

**I don't understand where "z critical for 1.96"came from.....How did you get 1.96? z= 1.96 how did u calculate for z?**
