For the first question I know there is a formula to figure out the probability that two people have the same birthday. I feel the need to remove 21 days from the figure and then somehow calculate the days that remain for the probability to be correct.


for the second question I have no clue any direction or help would be appreciated.


As for the last question the need to reinforce the the plane in engine area on the planes is so cause the planes that took damage in the engines did not make it back. That is why the majority of damage on planes that return is in the fuselage. How do I make this look like a statistical response.

The following statistics/probability problems may intrigue you and you may be surprised. The answers are not always as you might think. Please answer them as well as you can by using common logic. Provide detailed responses that clarify your understanding of the content. 1. There are 23 people at a party. Calculate the probability that any two of them share the same birthday and show your work. Describe the logic behind your calcula±on. 2. A cold and Fu study is looking at how two di²erent medica±ons work on sore throats and fever. Results are as follows: Sore throat - Medica±on A: Success rate - 90% (101 out of 112 trials were successful) Sore throat - Medica±on B: Success rate - 83% (252 out of 305 trials were successful) ³ever - Medica±on A: Success rate - 71% (205 out of 288 trials were successful) ³ever - Medica±on B: Success rate - 68% (65 out of 95 trials were successful) Analyze the data and explain which one would be the better medication for both a sore throat and a fever. 3. The United States employed a sta±s±cian to examine damaged planes returning from bombing missions over Germany in World War II. He found that the number of returned planes that had damage to the fuselage was far greater than those that had damage to the engines. His recommenda±on was to enhance the reinforcement of the engines rather than the fuselages. If damage to the fuselage was far more common, explain why he made this recommenda±on.
