How did the opinions of the conservatives/far-rights change as the Vietnam war progressed? Like at the beginning, I assume they supported the war, what about in the middle? I assume that they were a bit more neutral, as more protest grew. It was clear that far-lefts, hippies, and/or democrats were against it from start to finish. Were the conservatives fully against the war after the Pentagon papers, or at a different point?
I hope you can comprehend my thinking, and you can apply evidence to it, so it is more understandable for me. Are my assumptions correct, please reassure this?
