they passed through in the order that they passed through them. Explain why
settled in these areas in this order.
When certain groups made the transition from foraging to agriculture, one of the first
changes was to their diet and health. Describe how the diet of an individual in an early
agricultural civilization differed from a forager and select one or two effects this dietary
change would have had on this individual's physiological and/or mental health to discuss.
Throughout the Middle East, Northern India, and Europe languages with a Proto Indo
European root are still spoken. Explain how the Proto Indo European language group
become more widespread than other language families in Asia, Europe, and the Middle
Keep in mind the method of distribution, who was spreading the language, and the
circumstances that led to the success of their linguistic spread.*
As empires conquered other cultures, they resorted to a variety of tactics to ensure that
the newly-conquered people did not revolt against their rule. Chose one empire that we
have discussed and describe the tactic or tactics they used to prevent rebellion
had conquered the region.
