Effectively use a portfolio in career interviews. As a job candidate of today, you need all the ammunition you can get to succeed in your job search. There is more competition for available jobs, employers tend to be more skeptical of what candidates say they can do, and recruiters want to be sure they made the best choices possible when they invite individuals to join their firms. An important tool to have in your job search is the professional portfolio. This tool contains samples of your finest work, whether taken from academic experiences and assignments or from previous work experiences and projects. The use of portfolios by savvy job candidates is increasing. They realize that employers are very interested in seeing first-hand how and how well candidates can demonstrate their skills and perform their work. Tangible examples of these skills and capabilities are useful weapons. The portfolio is an extremely effective tool to help achieve the important goal of proving yourself.
