Project 1 Introduction: Annotated Bibliography
In this project, you will choose a topic of interest from the field of humanities, including but not limited to
literature, music, dance, architecture, art, film, and historical movements. The topic must be contemporary,
meaning it must be from 1950 or later. After you select a topic that interests you, develop an argument and
share your topic and proposed argument with me before you start the assignment.
In this Project , you will create an annotated bibliography using eight credible sources—five sources that support your argument and three sources that refute your argument—to research on your issue. Project Part 1 asks you to create an annotated bibliography of the sources you find when researching your topic. Research for eight sources (five that support the argument you will make and three that refute it; you must address all sides of your argument when trying to persuade your readers so you establish yourself as credible and fair). For each of the eight sources you find, do the following:
Provide the correct APA reference.
Provide a brief summary of the source (limit this summary to two sentences—you should provide a very general overview of the content).
Comment on the source’s credibility; can the information be trusted—why?
Comment on the source’s relevance to your research.
